PRODUCTION
The VEGETATION production entity monitors
and programs the Vegetation instrument on board the SPOT 4 satellite, receives, archives
and processes the recorded data, monitors and controls the image quality, generates
Vegetation products and provides the interface with the distribution organisation.
The technical and administrative coordination of the Vegetation production entity lies with VITO, the PROXY for the production entity. The production entity brings together 5 ground segment units:
One unit in charge of data reception in X-band, under the responsibility of the Swedish Space agency SSCOne unit in charge of data reception in X-band, under the responsibility of the Swedish Space agency SSC
